1) Rocking hard in chant-land with Krishna Das, Deva Premal & Miten, Wah, and MC Yogi till 2am
2) “Ganesh is Fresh” by MC Yogi–omg, you must check this kid out. Hilarious, funky, and full o’ spirit.
3) Getting to be in the trees again
4) Camping
5) Coincidences:
– In a room of hundreds of people last night, I spotted my friend T. grooving and wanted to say hi, but I was up dancing too. When I came back to my seat, she was sitting in it, unbeknownst to her. Lots of seat possibilities, but the one person I didn’t know would be there is sitting in my seat. Very cool.
– This one is weird. So I’m coming home on Sunday eve and there’s this drunk guy on the subway platform who looks normalish but is stumbling over to me and asks me if I’m glad that McCain picked a woman. I did my usual non-committal, I’m-not-ignoring-or-answering-you grunt and then he asked if I was Czechoslovakian. I walked briskly away. Two seconds later he’s telling another woman how athletic she is. The train comes, she keeps talking to him, seems entertained. I hear him say that he doesn’t drink much, tho he is swaying and slurring. When he gets off in Brooklyn he slightly moves toward her as if to kiss her. She says NO, backs away and he totters off. Then, I’m standing in the dinner line at Omega last night–in Rhinebeck–and there he is waiting for grub. Sober and Scuppie-looking. Weird, right?
– Thinking last night that maybe I should get a colonic and then taking an hour train ride this morning with a spiritual colon hydrotherapist
